Hi, Beautiful is a typographical installation displayed at the park on the corner of 6th Av. and Houston St. in lower Manhattan. Inspired by my friend Navid, from Iran, who once told me the first thing he learned living in Spain is that you should always call a woman guapa (beautiful in spanish). It started as a small typographic project but it turned out to be my Hola Guapa! to the city of New York. Words where made out of tape. It slowly disappeared because of time, people's hands and weather conditions. Just like beauty, it never lasts for ever. A printed a bool using rice paper to capture the process. My focus on the design was to keep the ephemeral and delicate aspect of the word beautiful.
This project was done at Parsons.
